Supporting the ACL
As a non-profit organization, the Animal Care League relies heavily on contributions made by our supporters. There are many ways a person can make a contribution to the ACL, from donating money, to making in kind gifts or patronizing organizations who in turn contribute to our shelter. Listed on this page are several ways a person can help our shelter.

Donations
The Animal Care League Endowment Fund
The ACL Endowment Fund was established to ensure the future of the Animal Care League. It is administered by the Community Foundation of Oak Park & River Forest. The principal amount in the fund is invested and only the income is used to support the operating expenses. The ultimate goal is to build a large enough fund, using only the interest & dividends earned, to annually support ACL operations in the future. Thus, your donation will work for ACL for generations to come.
Monetary Contributions
The ACL accepts monetary contributions at all times throughout the year. If you would like to contribute to help our animals, you may send in your contribution to the Animal Care League; 1011 Garfield St; Oak Park, IL 60304, click on the link at the top of the page to make a secure donation with your credit card or visit us and contribute in person.

You can do this in two ways: you can purchase a toy and have it sent directly to us, or you can request to donate a toy and if you don't specify to whom, they store all of the toys and then distribute them among shelters.
