Adoption Partner Program

The Animal Care League’s Adoption Partner Program is designed to help our harder to place animals find a new loving home as quickly as possible. There are two segments of this program, one for individuals and one for businesses. Both are outlined below, but it is important to note that while this program is designed to lower the adoption fee on select animals, we will NOT lower our adoption standards. Simply wanting to adopt a sponsored pet does not guarantee an adoption will occur. The family and pet must be a good match, a standard we have always adhered to and one we will continue to practice.

Individuals:

The segment geared toward individuals is tied to ACL membership. To participate, one must be ( or become) a member of the ACL. (Applications can be downloaded from the “membership” page under “supporting the ACL”. ) We then ask that you send in $25, on top of the membership dues, which will be used to offset the adoption fee of one of our animals. 100% of this extra donation goes to the adoption fee. You may sign up to be a member and contribute to the Adoption Partner Program at the same time. Simply select your membership level and send in this level’s dues payment and add $25. It is that easy. You will receive a thank you card when your sponsored pet is adopted.

While we would like to offer the chance for you to choose the pet to sponsor, we reserve this for shelter staff as they know which animals will be helped the most by your generosity.

Businesses:

For a business to become an Adoption Partner, they simply need to send in the sign up form (see below) with a payment of $100. Of the $100 dues, $25 will be used to offset the adoption fee for an animal, with the remainder of the donation being used by the shelter to run this program and provide daily care for our pets. Because this is a partnership, both parties must benefit. The “Program” document below provides information on the program and what you, our business partner, can expect for your generous donation. (please note, your donation is 100% tax deductible).
