Nobody’s perfect, right? Do we always immediately get along with every new person we meet? Are we all “dog people”? Do we sometimes get cranky when someone won’t leave us alone? Are we all young and in perfect health? Do we all deserve love and companionship-even with our personality quirks, ailments and imperfections? Of course we do!
The same can be said for animals. Many animals who find their way to shelters are not perfect, but just like us, they deserve to be loved never the less!
Animal Care League’s Operation Send them Home Campaign will work over the next few months to highlight many of our amazing animals who continue to get looked over by adopters due to their “imperfections”, but we know they can find a home to call their own. The number on their pictures is not their age, it's the amount of time each of these animals has been waiting for a forever home. At Animal Care League, animals can stay as long as they need-but that doesn't mean they should have to. Please help us with this important campaign by sharing this webpage, our social media posts, pictures of these animals or by sending in an adoption application!

What makes this campaign unique? Animal Care League decided to enlist the help of key staff to make this campaign a success and to help find homes for these animals once and for all. 7 ACL Staffers will run “mini-campaigns” for their selected animal. Staff will be getting creative in finding ways to spread the word about these “not so perfect, but perfect to us” animals in need. So keep your eyes peeled for creative marketing around town and on social media created by those who know the animals most.
