Dear Volunteers,
Happy Holidays from the Animal Care League! Thanks to your help it’s been a wonderful year! You all have contributed so much to ACL this year, beginning with the more than 11,000 volunteer hours provided at the shelter and offsite adoption events. Many of you spent even more time working at the 2nd Chance and Economy shops, fostering ACL animals, planning and helping with fundraising events, transporting animals and the list goes on. Your dedication is to be admired! In every way, you have provided comfort and hope to the animals in our care.
The best news of 2012 is that we were successful in finding forever homes for more than 750 animals this year (401 dogs; 319 cats, 11 bunnies and more than a dozen other small animals, including a chicken)! We are also happy to say that an additional 150 cats and dogs, found on the streets, lost and alone, were reunited with their owners through ACL.
You are a special part of our ACL family and we just couldn’t do it without you! Thanks from all of us at ACL and we wish you all the best this holiday season!
Sincerely,
Tom Van Winkle, Executive Director
Marci Watt, Manager Shelter Operations
Barbara LeBuhn, Volunteer Assistant
