Margo on her gotcha day
Margo came to ACL when her person was hospitalized and couldn't take her back. Though she had heartworm disease and a serious complication called caval syndrome, we were able to treat her on-site. Today, she is adopted and living her best life.
​Dewey the cat came to us as an injured stray, having been in a serious fight with another cat. Thanks to our donors, our vet was equipped to perform surgery on him that same day, putting him on the fast track to recovery. Today, he is healthy and ready for adoption.
The ability to diagnose Dewey and Margo at our facility, and to have full-time medical staff with the right skills and tools, saved their lives—without the significant added time and expense of sending them to outside specialists. That is something we will never take for granted, and something that is made possible only by supporters like you.
