Meet the Trainers

Trainer - Basic Obedience
Jesus
"I am a dog trainer with over six years of professional training experience and nine years of hands-on dog handling. My work includes pet manners, behavior modification, and working with shelter dogs, with additional experience in sport training. I have worked in both training and boarding facilities as well as shelter environments, giving me a well-rounded background with dogs of varying needs, temperaments, and histories.
I am a relationship-based trainer who focuses on helping owners develop clear communication with their dogs while building the skills and understanding needed for a successful life together. My approach emphasizes structure, clarity, and practicality, empowering owners to feel confident handling real-life situations with their pets.
I began my career in dog training after spending time working in shelters, where a particularly unfortunate case motivated me to help prevent dogs from ending up in shelters due to behavioral challenges.
Outside of training dogs, I like to day travel, explore the world and different cultures, and learn new recipes to cook
I currently own three dogs: Reaper, an 8-year-old retired Personal Protection German Shepherd; Nita, a 6-year-old German Shepherd pet dog; and Agave, a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois who trains in French Ring sport. Through working with Nita, who is dog-reactive, I have gained firsthand experience in successful behavior management, further shaping my training philosophy and approach."

Trainer - Addressing Reactivity
Kai
"I have been working with dogs for about 10 years in a wide variety of roles including veterinary hospitals, doggy daycare, shelter medicine, and boarding facilities. Being in the dog training industry for about 5 years. My primary focus is in basic obedience and behavioral modification. I earned my A.S. in Veterinary Technology as well as a Fear-Free Certification at the Vet Tech Institute of Fox College. Allowing me to work with a plethora of fear-based behavioral cases. I predominantly work with shelter/rescue dogs utilizing a relationship-based training style. One that focuses on the relationship between not just trainer and dog, but reconnecting owners to their dogs and strengthening their understanding and communication.
Some things I enjoy outside of dog training are scary movies, metal concerts and travelling.
I have one personal dog, a year old German Shepherd Dog named Atlas. He has a high genetic pre-disposition to reactivity. Navigating his low tolerance for stress around strangers and other dogs has furthered my understanding and techniques for training other reactive dogs and those with aggression-based behavioral challenges."
